Playscheme Holiday Fun

Our Playscheme youngsters had a lot of fun during the Christmas holidays!

Everyone enjoyed our visit to Dizzy Rascals soft play where the children had a chance to spend time in a new safe place. This activity offer the children an opportunity to learn to play together, take a turn and share the toys.

This Christmas season the Play Scheme also went on a trip to the B A Country Store near Lyne of Skene. It was a magical experience to see the fantastic Santa grotto, with spectacular decorations and scenery all set up for children. Even better it was for free! It was also lovely to see the farming animals as well.

We had plenty other trips, including the popular choice of bowling, and activities at our Jigsaw Playscheme premises at Carnie Drive are always well received too. During Christmas holiday we were baking as well with the children and it was a fantastic activity for the children to learn life skills. They were able to read a recipe, make a shopping list, went to the shop to buy all the ingredients. At playscheme during baking they work together following the recipe and make some delicious gingerbread biscuits. Baking is a big favorite for everyone involved, especially anyone tasting the final product!
